Back in January 1946, Milloš Ilić Bata opened a watchmaking shop where, in addition to repairing watches, he also repairs glasses as well as silver and gold jewelry.
He passed on his knowledge and skills to his son, Slobodan Boban Ilic, who already entered his father’s trade in 1962. After completing his trade and military service, he went to Kragujevac and Čačak, where he specialized in goldsmithing and jewelry making. He worked together with his father until 1977, when Miloš Ilić Bata retired. Son Boban continues his work and in 1989, following in his father’s footsteps, he introduces his two sons, Dejan and Stevan, into the business, who help expand the production and sale of gold and silver products.
Through diligent work, they manage to preserve and improve the quality of service and the company’s reputation. They all work together until 2008, when Boban retires and leaves the company to his sons Dejan, under the name “Ilić” and Stevan, under the name “Braća Ilić”. The jewelry production of goldsmith Braća Ilić has the most modern equipment and machines for the production of gold and silver jewelry. The production employs 5 workers who work on the production, repair and sale of jewelry.
In the middle of 2019, tradition, trust and quality continue through the involvement of Stevan’s sons, Miloš and Marko, in the family business, while the youngest son Ilija is still attending school. All sons intensively learn the trade from their father, working in production and trade.
